Hi, I’m Sarah, a relational integrative psychotherapist in training. Sometimes in life we can feel overwhelmed, stuck, scared, angry, sad, frustrated. These emotions, and others, can feel like they are taking over, causing distress and difficulties. If you are thinking you might like some help and support to talk about your thoughts, feelings and experiences, I above all offer kindness, care, compassion and a listening ear.
As a relational therapist my approach is focussed on us building an authentic and collaborative connection, enabling you to explore and make meaning of the things that have brought you to therapy. It is my utmost priority to create a safe space, without judgement, so you can bring the whole of yourself and your story, at your own pace.
My aim is to support you in achieving the outcomes you desire from therapy. That might be identifying shorter term strategies to address current difficulties, and/or supporting the longer-term journey of knowing and understanding yourself at a deeper level, in turn creating new possibilities, finding peace and acceptance, initiating and sustaining change, and creating the opportunity for more choice in your life.
As an integrative practitioner I draw on a variety of theoretical approaches, enabling me to work with you in an attuned, creative and flexible way that meets your needs. As well as my psychotherapy training, I have a wealth of other experiences that I bring to my practice. These include working in the corporate sector for 18 years, in the UK and overseas in people focused roles, which often involved supporting individual personal development and understanding of self. For the last 6 years I have worked in the mental health sector educating and building awareness within organisations around mental health and the skills required to support someone experiencing mental health concerns.
I am currently in the third year of a four-year UKCP accredited Diploma in Relational Integrative Psychotherapy and attend regular clinical supervision. I offer reduced fees due to my current training status.
I know myself that taking the first step towards therapy can feel overwhelming, but if you think you might be interested to understand more about how we could work together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation.
I can support and work with anxiety, and depression, stress, loss and bereavement, trauma, relationship concerns, fertility, childbirth, parenting, women’s health and wellbeing, loneliness, life transitions, loss of direction, self-confidence, self-esteem, building resilience, initiating change, behavioural patterns and processes you want to explore.
I work in person* with adults (18+ years).
I can work online if required on an ad hoc basis
Fee: £40 for a 50-minute session.
